Kid Everest Parental Consent

Must be filled out for children under 13

Dear Parent/Legal Guardian,

Your child has recently signed up for an account on the KidEverest.com website. Kid Everest is a crowdfunding website created for children through age 18. Your child has attempted to create a crowdfunding project on our website. We are committed to providing a safe place for your child. Because of your child’s age, your child’s ability to post their crowdfunding project is currently limited.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), parents (or legal guardians) of children under 13 years of age must consent to collections, uses and disclosures of the personal information of their children collected by the KidEverest.com website. Kid Everest’s COPPA statement is incorporated in the website COPPA Compliance page. It is further expanded upon in our Privacy Policy. Kid Everest may have collected your online contact information from your child, in order to obtain your consent. Your permission is required for the collection, use, or disclosure of your child’s personal information. This personal information can include first and last name (last name only to identify for back end website purposes), general location (state), picture, and/or video, though all (but full name) are optional. As a parent/legal guardian, you can opt out of any of these. Kid Everest will also require (upon project approval) full parental/legal guardian contact information including creating/connecting a Stripe or Paypal account for distribution of proceeds for the child project.

We will not grant your child access to post projects to the Kid Everest website account unless you provide us with permission.
