Find Your Passion

And make money too!

If you are having trouble coming up with an initial business idea, don’t worry. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to come up with an idea that you can be passionate about. If you are an artist at heart, it’s probably no wonder why art class is your favorite. Same is true for math for future accountants.

When you are doing what you love, you don’t feel like you are working at all. You may even feel as though you are having fun. For some of you, it may seem impossible that one would love algebra, but others probably feel the same way about throwing clay on a pottery wheel.

These differences are actually what make us all s amazing. Having unique interests keep our lives creative.

If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.

Successful Kid Everest campaigns typical grow from a passion that someone has. When someone really enjoys their work, it shows and the passion can be contagious.

Discovering your business idea has 2 parts; finding what you are passionate about and how to make money.

Finding Your Passion:

The first step in discovering your business idea is to think about what you are passionate about. These are the things that get your blood flowing, that put a smile on your face or things that you could do forever and never get bored.

Here are a few questions to think about:

  1. What do I love to do?
  2. What am I good at?
  3. What do others say I’m good at?
  4. What is a need people have that I can fill?
  5. What do I care about?

It’s possible that these questions overlap, and that’s a good thing. It will help you narrow down what you are truly passionate about.

How to Make Money:

The second step in your business idea is how you are going to turn your passion into a money-making business.

Now ask yourself these questions:

  1. How can I teach someone else my passion and charge a small fee?
  2. How can I use my passion to make something to sell to others?
  3. How can I use my passion to help make others’ life easier/more fulfilling/happier?
  4. How can sharing my passion help others?
  5. How can I make others care about my passion?

Once you have answered these questions, you should be able to have a general idea of what you can do for your Kid Everest campaign. Using a passion is helpful because you are less likely to become bored with it as time goes on.
